Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to provide for onsite workplace CPR Training?

Please provide enough chairs for each of the participants and an open area to train in.

Resus Ready will provide all the mankins, training equipement and assessment material required for class

Is there a minimum number of participants required for a group booking?

We require a minimum of 6 participants to run an onsite workplace group training session

Is there a maximum number of participants required for a group booking?

We can train a maximum of 20 participants at a time. If maximum amount of participants are being trained you will need to provide enough open space for the manikins to be placed on the ground and an extension time of 30 minutes may be added to the training session to allow for adequate practice and assessment time. This is to ensure your team receives quality training.

If there is insufficent space at your venue then back to back express classes in smaller groups are always a great alternative to ensure the best training for your team.

Can I still get a Nationally Recognised Certificate if I cannot perform CPR on the floor?

To qualify for a Nationally Recognised Certificate for HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, it is a requirement participants are able to perform 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult manikin on the floor.

While reasonable adjustment can be made like extra time or completing the assessment one on one after class, the CPR assessment on an adult manikin must be completed on the floor and to the Australian Resuscitation Standards to qualify for a certificate.

If you have back or knee problems that prevent you from kneeling please contact your supervisor or myself prior to training as you may only be able to recieve a certificate of attendance.

What if I just want CPR training or myself?

While we specilise in onsite workplace training we do run public courses intermittantly throughout the year in Ringwood. This is subject to demand.

If you require individual training please get in touch and a session could be organised if enough participants are available at the same time.

When do I need to renew my CPR certificate?
